I've brought the DeLorean to a lot of weddings at this point. Without fail, the same thing happens every time — someone walks up, sees the car, and just stops. Here's what I've learned about what makes it work.
I've had the DeLorean at dozens of weddings now — from backyard ceremonies in South Jersey to big venue receptions in New York. And without fail, the same thing happens every single time: someone walks up, sees the car, and just stops.
That's when I know it's going to be a great night.
Most people reach out thinking of one specific shot — usually the couple in front of the car with the gull-wing doors up. That photo is incredible, and yes, everyone does it. But once I'm on-site and people start exploring, the uses multiply fast.
Grand entrances. I've had couples arrive to their reception in the DeLorean. The look on guests' faces when those doors swing open is something you can't stage or manufacture. Either you have that moment or you don't.
The getaway car. Probably my favorite use. End of the night, couple walks out, gull-wings go up, smoke effects running, everyone going crazy. If you can get a drone for this shot, do it.
Photo station throughout the night. I park in a visible spot and guests rotate through the whole evening. Kids sit in the driver's seat. Grandparents take photos they'll actually print out. Groomsmen attempt to fit three people in the car simultaneously (it never ends well, but they always try).
Back to the Future is one of those movies that literally everyone loves. Your 70-year-old grandmother and your 8-year-old nephew both know exactly what the DeLorean is. That kind of universal recognition is rare — most entertainment choices leave half the room uninterested. Not this one.
The car also photographs beautifully. The detail on this replica is exact — every light, every gauge, every inch of it is authentic. Wedding photographers love working with it because it actually gives them something to shoot.
I come with the car — it's not a drop-off situation. I'm there the whole time, managing everything, helping guests get in and out safely, keeping the props running. Everything is included: the flux capacitor, the time circuits, Mr. Fusion, all of it powered up and glowing.
I handle one event at a time, so your booking gets my full attention. Spring and fall book out the fastest — if you have a date in mind, reach out sooner rather than later.
Every couple I've worked with has said the same thing afterward: it was the detail their guests talked about more than anything else.
